Consolidated revenues as of 12 months ending December 2024 totaled $13.8 billion.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nHCLTech is looking for an experienced AI Engineer to design, build, and support scalable AI solutions across Azure and AWS environments.\n\nThe role will focus on Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic AI, LLMs, and cloud-based AI services, while working closely with engineering, data, product, and security teams.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDesign and develop Generative AI and RAG solutions using LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, and enterprise search.\n\nBuild conversational and agentic AI applications, including secure tool-calling and multi-agent workflows.\n\nDevelop and maintain AI/data pipelines for document ingestion, processing, enrichment, and vectorization.\n\nIntegrate AI solutions with Azure and AWS cloud services.\n\nEvaluate and optimize AI models for quality, performance, security, and cost.\n\nImplement monitoring, logging, guardrails, and responsible AI practices.\n\nSupport CI/CD and deployment of production AI workloads.\n\nCollaborate with product, data, security, and engineering teams throughout the solution lifecycle.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n\n6+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years working with Generative AI/LLMs.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with RAG, LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, and agentic AI.\n\nStrong programming experience with Python and/or C#/.NET.\n\nExperience with Azure AI services, particularly Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search.\n\nExperience working with AWS AI/cloud services is an advantage.\n\nExperience with AI frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, LangChain, CrewAI, or similar.\n\nGood understanding of APIs, cloud architecture, security, CI/CD, monitoring, and production AI deployments.\n\nExperience with data processing technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Spark, or similar.\n\nStrong software engineering fundamentals and experience building scalable production solutions.\n\nNice to Have\n\nExperience with Azure AI Agent Service and Model Context Protocol (MCP).\n\nExperience with open-source models such as Llama and frameworks such as Hugging Face.\n\nKubernetes, Docker, GPU workloads, or local model deployment experience.\n\nExperience with model evaluation, fine-tuning, MLflow, or Responsible AI practices.\n\nRelevant Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications.\n\nEducation\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n\nWhat we offer:\n\n-Competitive salary;\n\n-Opportunity for career progression;\n\n-Young and vibrant team environment;\n\n-Social benefits package;\n\n-Professional on-boarding and on-going trainings.\n\nAre you willing to build up your career with us?
