About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer to join our team and support a portfolio of business-critical applications.
The role will focus on developing and maintaining API, UI and end-to-end automated tests, enhancing a shared test automation framework, and ensuring reliable quality reporting and test evidence to support release decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated API, UI and end-to-end tests.
Extend and enhance a shared .NET-based automation framework across multiple applications.
Implement database validations and multi-layer business process automation.
Maintain Azure DevOps pipelines, automated test execution, reporting and test artefacts.
Ensure traceability between User Stories, Test Cases, Test Runs and Defects in Azure DevOps.
Investigate, triage and manage defects identified through automated testing.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to framework improvements.
Maintain technical and framework documentation.
Work within Agile/Scrum delivery teams and communicate progress and potential quality risks.
Deliver automated test coverage as part of each sprint.
Support reliable regression testing and timely investigation of failures.
Develop reusable automation components that can support multiple applications.
Requirements
Strong software engineering background with solid expertise in at least one modern object-oriented programming language.
Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
Proven experience building and maintaining API and UI test automation frameworks.
Experience with automated end-to-end testing.
Working knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques.
Experience with source control, code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong test design, defect management and analytical skills.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
Strong written and spoken English.
Interest in using AI-assisted tools within software quality engineering.
Nice to Have
Experience with C# and .NET.
Experience with NUnit, Playwright and RestSharp.
Experience with PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including Boards, Test Plans, Repos and Pipelines.
Knowledge of Gherkin/BDD practices.
Experience with Allure or similar test reporting tools.
Experience working within Scrum or SAFe environments.
