Business Analyst - Data Migration & Mapping Role Overview We are looking for a Business Analyst with experience in data mapping, migration, and requirements analysis to support the migration of data from a legacy system into the latest version of the Content Manager platform. The BA will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and migration teams to understand legacy data, define mapping requirements, identify data gaps, and support successful migration and validation. Key Responsibilities Analyze legacy-system data, business processes, and existing data structures. Gather and document business and data-migration requirements. Develop source-to-target data mapping between the legacy system and the latest Content Manager platform. Define data transformation, cleansing, validation, and conversion rules. Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, duplicates, and migration risks. Work with business and technical teams to clarify data definitions and mapping decisions. Support migration testing, reconciliation, and data validation. Prepare mapping specifications, business rules, requirements, and supporting documentation. Track and resolve data-migration issues and support defect triage. Participate in migration planning, mock migrations, user acceptance testing, and final migration activities. Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in data migration or system implementation projects. Strong experience with data mapping, source-to-target mapping, data analysis, and data validation. Experience working with legacy systems and migrating data to newer platforms. Ability to understand data models, field definitions, business rules, and data transformation requirements. Strong SQL/data-query skills for data analysis and validation. Experience creating BRDs, mapping documents, requirements, process flows, and data dictionaries. Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills. Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments. Nice to Have Previous experience with Content Manager or similar enterprise content/document-management platforms. Experience with ETL/data migration tools. Experience supporting large-scale enterprise migrations and data reconciliation. Knowledge of records/document management concepts and metadata structures.
