Conducts\nfeasibility studies and testing new and modified designs. Directs support personnel in the\npreparation of detailed design, testing, prototype fabrication and performance validation.\nThe primary focus of the position is\n-To engage in design starting from design concept to commissioning, design calculations, material\nselections\n- To lead a team of designers, provide guidance, and ensure the delivery of high-quality design\nsolutions in alignment with the overall business goals\n-to perform and document engineering tests, coordinate the procurement and assembly of\nmechanical Components/equipment, and generate documentation.\nKey Responsibilities:\n To collaborate with key stakeholders, to understand business objectives and work with\nthem to integrate system design thinking into product development by Problem\nidentification and troubleshooting a wide range of diicult mechanical problems\n To present design/analyze the concepts on mechanical systems, equipment and strategies\nto stakeholders and gather feedback\n Implementation of concepts for a variety of product issues and mechanical solutions.\n Establishes standards across all operational processes\n To stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies to drive innovation and excellence\nin design\n Must be able to engage with the organization’s formal SDLC Process teams and execute the\nrelated processes\nFunctional Knowledge:\n Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities\n Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work\n Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical\nexperience and judgment and precedents.\n Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines\nand policies\n Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations\n To oversee the design team, set design standards, contribute to the design strategy, and\ncollaborate with stakeholders to align design eorts with business goals\nJob Specific Knowledge:\nKnowledge necessary to perform job include working knowledge of mechanical engineering design,\nand material science concepts and techniques, including proficiency in solving engineering\nproblems using analytical techniques and engineering knowledge; basic knowledge of electrical\nengineering; working knowledge of CAD tools like UG/NX; and basic knowledge of appropriate\nmaterials, components and technologies used in the semiconductor equipment industry.\nSkills:\nRequires strong skills in mechanical basics, system design, Design calculations & Engineering\nchange management, problem solving, communication skills, customer orientation, product\ntechnology, global business perspective, personal eectiveness, project management, team skills\nand quality\nApplication Knowledge of GD&T, Design for Manuf & Assembly (DFMA), Root cause analysis\nRequires knowledge of systems and software necessary to perform job function such as UG\n/ / NX, AutoCAD, Oracle BOM, and/or Oracle ECO\nAdvantage: Knowledge in ANSYS & CFD ACE+/Fluent\nEducational Qualification:\nBE/ B. Tech (Mechanical Engg/Equivalent.) / ME/ M.
