About this opportunity The Identity & Authentication Platform delivers capabilities to enable LBG business areas secure client and digital authentication and identity across all their digital channels. The Platform delivers core products including Identity & Authentication as a Service, giving end-to-end packaged services of several components for self-serve consumption. The Lead Solution Architect is vital in ensuring the products we deliver are fit for purpose and meet the quality and standards that our customers expect. You’ll realise business value by delivering reliable, scalable, and working software to our customers. You’ll be responsible for the design, architecture decisions, and defining the end-to-end impacts (both functional and non-functional). You should also be comfortable communicating information to different customers, from business partners to the engineering community. What will I be doing?\nLead and collaborate with other industry-leading architects, engineers, and technicians within and outside of the platform to create robust and scalable solution designs.\nOwn the design of solutions throughout the entire delivery lifecycle, providing guidance and direction ensuring alignment to Product objectives.\nKey Responsibilities\nThrough expert engineering and architectural skills, translate high-level business requirements into technology architectures that align to the strategic architecture.\nLead senior business partners to secure strong engagement for the solution and ensure that delivery aligns to longer-term roadmaps.\nTake designs through governance processes with meaningful architectural artefacts and ensure the required engineering and architecture cohorts are engaged as required throughout the design phase.\nMentor and lead other engineers and build a strong team culture through peer-to-peer teamwork and development. What you’ll need\nStrong software engineering and architecture background.\nExperience of working delivering Digital Transformation Solutions.\nExcellent Partner management skills.\nKnowledge of agile development practices with a history of technical leadership.\nExperience across the entire solutions development lifecycle from inception, through build to Production.\nSkill Requirements\nYou'll appreciate and acknowledge the impact of system design decisions on scalability, resilience, and supportability.\nExperience of API design and architecture patterns.\nExperience with Public & Private Cloud Solutions, ideally Google Cloud Platform and Open Shift Container Platform.\nGood understanding of Authentication and Authorisation concepts. It would be great if you also had:\nKnowledge of delivery of microservices to Production.\nExperience with Docker and container orchestration tools e.g. Kubernetes.\nUnderstanding of Data Architecture.\nOther Requirements\nExperience of designing and implementing zero trust models.
