This is a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur..\nWhat you'll be doing\nDesigning, developing, and maintaining COBOL-based applications and systems to support the business\nAnalysing and troubleshooting complex COBOL code to identify and resolve issues\nSupport business operations on their areas by improving or performing systems configurations or by developing new features of Java applications.\nEnsure the performance, quality and responsiveness of applications by monitoring, analyzing and reports root cause of system/ production disruption and include recommendations to prevent the reoccurrence of glitches, defects & bugs.\nHelp to maintain/improve code quality as well as automation especially on the testing area.\nAnalyze within their IT lines the current technology trends and look for opportunities to design new technology solutions that would maximize the company's productivity and improve business operations.\nEnrich procedures & documentation of deliverables. Keep documentation and processes around production support as well development cycle up to date and at his best possible efficiency.\nCollaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions\nImplementing best practices in software development, including code documentation, testing, and deployment\nProviding technical guidance and mentoring to more junior developers\nStaying up-to-date with the latest COBOL technologies and industry trends\nWhat we're looking for\nBachelor's or Master degree in information technology and/or other demonstrated learning path (eg.
