Job Summary
The SAP Program Manager (Director Level) is a high-visibility executive leader responsible for driving the strategy, governance, and end-to-end delivery of large-scale, global SAP transformation programs. Acting as the senior delivery executive, this role aligns multi-million-dollar technology investments with core business objectives, leading cross-functional teams through complex migrations (such as SAP S/4HANA transitions, RISE with SAP, and cloud integrations). The Director manages multi-vendor ecosystems, spearheads organizational change management, and maintains direct accountability to C-level stakeholders for program budgets, risk mitigation, and digital innovation.

- Strategic Governance: Establish and govern standardized SAP operating frameworks, roadmaps, and delivery center models across global entities. Lead steering committees and provide executive visibility into milestone achievements, resource constraints, and technical risks.
- Enterprise Transformation & Delivery: Own the full-lifecycle delivery of complex, multi-year SAP initiatives from inception through hypercare, utilizing modern frameworks like SAP Activate methodology.
- Financial & Commercial Management: Exercise full P&L accountability for the program, optimizing resource deployment models (onshore/offshore mix) and eliminating margin erosion or budget overruns.
- Vendor & Ecosystem Orchestration: Oversee major System Integrators (SIs) and external consultants (e.g., Big Four firms), managing Statements of Work (SOWs), contract compliance, and service-level tracking.
- Architecture & Innovation Leadership: Partner with Enterprise Architects to validate design paradigms, data migrations, and integrations across SAP BTP, core ERP, and adjacent third-party platforms. Drive modern optimization practices, including automation and GenAI application tracking.
- Talent Direction: Directly manage and mentor senior Project Managers, functional leads, and technical tower leads, actively building high-performance competency centers.

- C-Suite Advisory: Proven ability to influence and align Chief Executive Officers, CFOs, CIOs, and business unit heads on complex digital transformation strategies.
- Organizational Change Management (OCM): Mastery in driving global behavioral change, training adoption, and communication strategies to minimize business disruption.
- Conflict Resolution: Expert capability to navigate matrixed corporate politics, align competing regional business goals, and resolve high-stakes vendor disputes.
SAP Portfolio & Program Governance
- SAP Delivery Frameworks: Deep practical knowledge of SAP Activate methodology, Agile, Scaled Agile (SAFe), and hybrid Waterfall frameworks.
- Large-Scale Financial Acumen: Advanced proficiency in managing $10M+ CapEx/OpEx program budgets, financial forecasting, and realization of Business Case ROI.
- Risk & Quality Assurance: Skilled in designing rigorous governance gates, proactive risk-mitigation frameworks, and compliance tracking for global rollouts.
Technical & Functional Mastery
- S/4HANA & Digital Core: Comprehensive conceptual understanding of SAP S/4HANA core architectures (Greenfield/Brownfield) and central deployment models (Public Cloud, Private Cloud, RISE with SAP).
- Enterprise Integration & BTP: Understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for custom extensions, data analytics, and cross-application integration with non-SAP legacy systems.
- Cross-Module Familiarity: High-level functional fluency across primary enterprise streams including Record-to-Report (FI/CO), Order-to-Cash (SD), and Procure-to-Pay (MM/PP).
