The LSD is accountable for overall product design, quality, reliability, and performance, and represents all engineering aspects of the product. The LSD sits on the software core team and system software team, and optionally on the program extended core team.\nKey Responsibilities\n10+ years in system or software engineering, with experience leading multi-team technical programs\nStrong systems engineering skills: requirements management, decomposition, interface definition, traceability, risk management\nExperience with design controls and regulated product development (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, FDA design controls)\nExperience with Agile at scale (SAFe, PI planning, Rally or similar)\nWorking knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and branching and release strategies\nExcellent communication, influencing, and decision-making skills\nSkill Requirements\nAct as the end-to-end technical authority for the product, with responsibility for the full product development lifecycle\nPartner with subsystem product owners, who own SSRS (Software System Requirement Specifications), subsystem architecture and design, V&V, performance, reliability, releases, and documentation, on design, prioritization, and integration issues\n\nDocument improvement opportunities and drive process
