Senior Project Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager with 10+ years of overall SAP experience and strong hands-on project management experience in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition / GROW with SAP implementations.

The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end SAP project delivery, including project planning, governance, stakeholder management, resource coordination, risk and issue management, financial tracking, and delivery management. The role requires extensive interaction with global customer stakeholders and the ability to work flexibly across US and European time zones.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition / GROW with SAP implementation projects.Manage the complete project lifecycle from initiation and planning through design, configuration, testing, deployment, go-live and hypercare.Drive project execution using SAP Activate methodology.Establish and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, deliverables and acceptance criteria.Coordinate across SAP functional, technical, integration, data migration, testing and business teams.Ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, timeline, budget and quality parameters.Manage fit-to-standard workshops and ensure alignment between business requirements and SAP standard processes.Support cutover planning, go-live readiness and post-production stabilization.

Project Governance & Management

• Establish appropriate project governance and reporting mechanisms.
• Conduct regular project status meetings with customer and internal leadership teams.
• Monitor project KPIs, milestones, resource utilization and delivery progress.
• Maintain and drive closure of RAID logs including Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies.
• Manage scope changes through appropriate change-control processes.
• Prepare project status reports and executive-level presentations for leadership and steering committee meetings.
• Identify project risks proactively and establish effective mitigation and contingency plans.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage relationships with business leaders, IT teams, SAP functional leads, architects and third-party vendors.
• Facilitate governance meetings, steering committee discussions and project reviews.
• Effectively manage escalations and drive issues to closure.
• Communicate effectively with senior customer stakeholders across geographically distributed teams.
• Coordinate with offshore and onsite delivery teams working across multiple time zones.

Financial & Resource Management

• Manage project budgets, resource forecasts and delivery financials.
• Track project effort, utilization and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate resource allocation across functional and technical workstreams.
• Monitor planned versus actual effort and take corrective action where necessary.
• Support change requests, effort estimation and commercial discussions as required.

Skill Requirements

Must Have

• 10+ years of SAP experience, with significant experience managing SAP implementation programs/projects.
• Strong experience as an SAP Project Manager for end-to-end implementation engagements.
• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition / GROW with SAP implementations.
• Good understanding of the SAP Activate methodology and cloud implementation lifecycle.
• Experience managing global SAP projects involving onsite/offshore delivery models.
• Strong understanding of SAP project phases including:

• Experience with project financials, resource planning and delivery tracking.
• Must be flexible to work in US and/or EU time zones depending on customer/project requirements.

Good to Have

• SAP S/4HANA Cloud or SAP Activate certification.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or similar project management certification.
• Experience managing multi-country/global SAP rollouts.
• Knowledge across SAP functional areas such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, EWM, Procurement and Supply Chain.
• Understanding of SAP integrations, data migration and interface management.
• Experience working with SAP BTP and integration-related project dependencies.
• Experience with Agile/Hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, SAP Cloud ALM or similar project management platforms.
