This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who enjoys writing clean code, solving technical problems, contributing to design discussions, and supporting reliable application delivery in an agile enterprise environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrimary skill is - Advance Java with Java 17 and Java 21\nDevelop, enhance, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 17 and Java 21.\nDesign and implement microservices using Spring Boot and related Java frameworks.\nBuild and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and integration components for enterprise platforms.\nWrite clean, efficient, secure, and maintainable code following engineering best practices.\nPerform hands-on coding, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.\nWork with PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, SQL development, query tuning, indexing, and performance improvement.\nCreate and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and code quality checks to support reliable delivery.\nTake ownership of assigned features and technical components from development through deployment and production support.\nUse Azure DevOps for source control, build pipelines, release pipelines, deployment workflows, and CI/CD automation.\nCollaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA engineers, architects, DevOps engineers, and other development teams.\nParticipate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nSupport production issue analysis, root cause investigation, and implementation of preventive improvements.\nContribute actively to agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.\nSkill Requirements\nRequired Skills and Experience\nStrong hands-on Java development experience, preferably with Java 17 and Java 21.\nStrong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and microservices implementation.\nGood understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, clean code, and secure coding practices.\nStrong coding, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nHands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including SQL development, query optimization, indexing, and database performance tuning.\nExperience in building backend services, REST APIs, enterprise applications, and distributed microservices solutions.\nExperience with Git-based source control and collaborative development workflows.\nHands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including Repos, Boards, Pipelines, build automation, release pipelines, and deployment workflows.\nGood understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps ways of working.\nAbility to work independently on moderately complex technical tasks while collaborating effectively with the team.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.\nGood communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.\nOther Requirements\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization and orchestration tools.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and cloud-native application delivery.\nExperience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and application support activities.\nExposure to automated testing frameworks, static code analysis, and code quality tools.\nUnderstanding of application performance tuning, reliability, and secure software delivery.\nExperience with release management, environment coordination, and deployment support.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.\nTypically 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Java development, backend engineering, or enterprise application development.\nProven hands-on experience across application development, microservices implementation, PostgreSQL database work, and Azure DevOps delivery activities.\nThis role is a great fit for a Java engineer who enjoys hands-on development, modern backend engineering, microservices delivery, database problem-solving, and DevOps-enabled software delivery.
