The role owns the complete solution lifecycle, from problem framing and data ingestion through model and agent development, cloud deployment, observability and production support.\nThe successful candidate must demonstrate at least one enterprise Agentic AI solution delivered beyond proof of concept, with clear ownership of architecture, orchestration, retrieval, security, monitoring and measurable business outcomes.\nKey Responsibilities\nData Science & Machine Learning\n· Define hypothesis-driven approaches for ambiguous business and technical problems.\n· Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model selection, validation and error analysis.\n· Build and evaluate supervised, unsupervised and generative AI solutions using appropriate business and technical measures.\n· Create reproducible experimentation, testing and model-evaluation practices.\nGenerative AI, RAG & Graph RAG\n· Design production-grade LLM applications using prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases and retrieval pipelines.\n· Own document ingestion, parsing, chunking, metadata enrichment, indexing, retrieval, reranking and grounded response generation.\n· Design Graph RAG solutions combining knowledge graphs with semantic or vector retrieval where relationship-aware reasoning is required.\n· Define evaluation measures for retrieval quality, answer relevance, faithfulness, hallucination control, latency and cost.\nAgentic AI & Workflow Automation\n· Design single-agent and multi-agent workflows supporting planning, reasoning, tool use and multi-step execution.\n· Implement context management, short-term and durable memory, function or tool calling, guardrails and human-in-the-loop controls.\n· Integrate agents with enterprise APIs, data platforms and business workflows.\n· Debug and optimize agent behavior, failure handling, retries, routing and task completion.\nFull Stack & Legacy Modernization\n· Build Python services, REST APIs and microservices using sound object-oriented design and clean-code practices.\n· Integrate AI services with web applications and enterprise systems; frontend exposure to React or Angular is desirable.\n· Assess legacy code and data flows, identify modernization opportunities, and apply incremental refactoring and migration best practices.\n· Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, testing and secure engineering practices.\nCloud, Deployment & Engineering Excellence\n· Design and operate AI services on AWS using suitable services such as S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, Bedrock, SageMaker, IAM, VPC, RDS or DynamoDB.\n· Containerize workloads using Docker and deploy through repeatable CI/CD pipelines.\n· Apply MLOps practices covering experiment tracking, model and prompt versioning, testing, release controls and rollback.\n· Implement logging, metrics, tracing, alerting and dashboards for applications, retrieval pipelines, models and agents.\n· Use observability to investigate latency, retrieval quality, tool failures, token consumption, reliability and production incidents.\n· Make engineering trade-offs across scalability, security, performance, resilience, maintainability and cost.\nSkill Requirements\nMandatory Experience\n· 8+ years of relevant experience across data science, machine learning, AI engineering or software engineering.\n· Strong hands-on Python coding experience and practical knowledge of OOP, APIs, testing and system design.\n· Experience building and deploying ML or GenAI solutions in production.\n· Hands-on knowledge of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, ingestion and retrieval design.\n· At least one enterprise Agentic AI implementation with direct contribution to architecture or development.\n· Experience with AWS, containerization, CI/CD and production observability.\n· Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and stakeholder communication.\nOther Requirements\nTechnical Skills\nCompetency Expected skills\nProgramming & Backend Python, SQL, OOP, FastAPI/Flask, REST APIs, async processing, unit and integration testing\nData Science & ML EDA, feature engineering, hypothesis testing, predictive modelling, model evaluation, explainability\nGenAI & Retrieval LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, RAG, Graph RAG, reranking, evaluation\nAgentic AI LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI or equivalent;
