Key Responsibilities
SAP Technical Knowledge
- MM (Materials Management): Procure-to-Pay cycle (requisition → PO → goods receipt → invoice verification), inventory management (goods movements, valuation), vendor/material master data, purchasing conditions (info records, contracts, scheduling agreements), and MM integration with FI and SD
- SAP Ariba Sourcing: Sourcing events (RFI/RFP/RFQ), e-auctions, supplier negotiation management, and integration of sourcing outcomes with contracts/purchase orders in MM
- SAP Business Network (Ariba Network): Electronic supplier connectivity (PO, invoice, ASN transmission), supplier onboarding, and monitoring of transaction/integration errors (cXML, EDI)
End-to-End Business Process Knowledge
- Full source-to-pay cycle: demand planning → sourcing → contracting → purchasing → receiving → payment
- Vendor management (registration, qualification, performance evaluation)
- Direct vs. indirect procurement category nuances
Local Tax/Regulatory Knowledge
- Tax rules applicable to purchasing/receiving (e.g., import duties, customs, VAT/GST, or country-specific taxes on goods receipt)
- Legal requirements for inbound electronic invoicing and its integration with MM
- Vendor compliance documentation requirements (tax certificates, foreign vendor registration)
- Trade/import regulations where applicable (tariff classification, HS codes)
- Public-sector procurement/bidding regulations, if applicable
- Withholding tax on vendor payments
Complementary Skills
- Translating local tax/legal requirements into MM and Ariba tax configuration
- Acting as a liaison between local Procurement, Tax, and Global IT teams
Familiarity with local fiscal bolt-on integrations used in the goods receipt process
