Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated QA Engineer to join our Telecom Product team. The candidate will be responsible for validating telecom applications, executing functional and integration testing, analyzing test results, and working closely with development and product teams to ensure high-quality software releases.
The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of telecom networks, basic scripting knowledge, API testing experience, and database query skills.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, execute, and maintain functional, non-functional and regression test cases to ensure comprehensive product validation.
Validate new product features and enhancements by identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
Perform REST API testing using Postman to verify request/response payloads, data integrity, and service functionality.
Execute database validation activities by writing and running MongoDB queries to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Analyze application logs, investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams to facilitate timely issue resolution.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Development, Product Management, DevOps, and Support, to ensure product quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Prepare comprehensive test plans, test execution reports, defect summaries, and other quality assurance documentation.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, requirement reviews, and release validation activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. To project manage the testing project like estimating| resource management and scheduling with reference to testing work assignation etc.
2. To manage customer expectations on deliverables.
3. To lead| guide| manage| engage and develop the team.
4. To participate in organization initiatives like CMMI compliance | DQI.
Skill Requirements
Required Skills
Technical Skills
Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Shell, or JavaScript preferred).
Experience with Postman for REST API testing.
Knowledge of MongoDB and the ability to write basic database queries.
Understanding of software testing methodologies and defect lifecycle.
Familiarity with CI/ID or other version control systems.
Telecom Knowledge
Basic understanding of Radio Access Networks (RAN).
Knowledge of LTE/5G network architecture is an advantage.
Familiarity with common RAN parameters, KPIs, counters, and configuration concepts.
Basic understanding of telecom performance management and network optimization concepts is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Exposure to telecom OSS/BSS applications is a plus.
Knowledge of automation frameworks is an added advantage. "
