This role performs sample preparation, electrical, RF, optical, and subsystem testing, maintains laboratory equipment and test stations, assists with fixture fabrication and hardware debugging, and ensures accurate documentation, inventory control, and operational readiness of the lab environment.\nThis position requires strong hands-on technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support engineering teams through product development, validation testing, and laboratory operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nKey Responsibilities\nSample Preparation & Hardware Support\nPerform sample preparation activities including:\nWafer dicing\nDie extraction\nDie mounting\nWire bonding\nEvaluation Board (EVB) assembly and preparation\nAssemble, modify, and troubleshoot laboratory hardware and test setups.\nPerform soldering, rework, and debugging of simple wiring assemblies and prototypes.\nSupport hardware station builds, maintenance, and upgrades\nSkill Requirements\nTesting & Characterization\nExecute repetitive and off-shift testing activities including:\nDC electrical testing\nRF testing\nOptical testing\nEngineering Validation Test (EVT) activities\nFailure Analysis (FA) support\nSubsystem characterization\nSpecial characterization studies\nCollect and document die-level skew measurements and statistical survey data.\nEnsure testing is performed according to established procedures and quality standards.\nTest Equipment & Qualification\nPerform station qualification and capability (gage) studies.\nMaintain and manage golden samples and calibration standards.\nDevelop and maintain test documentation, procedures, and operating instructions.\nCoordinate and track calibration activities for laboratory equipment.\nData Analysis & Reporting\nGenerate EVT data rollups and summary reports using existing scripts and tools.\nReview collected data for completeness and report findings to engineering teams.\nSupport engineers with data collection, organization, and presentation.\n\nOther Requirements\nLab Operations & Compliance\nMaintain laboratory operational readiness and organization.\nEnsure security software, operating systems, and laboratory tools remain current in accordance with IT requirements.\nFollow all company safety policies and laboratory procedures.\nMaintain accurate records and documentation for testing, equipment, and inventory.\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in:\n2+ years of hands-on laboratory, manufacturing, engineering technician, or test technician experience.\nExperience using electrical test equipment such as:\nOscilloscopes\nDigital multimeters\nPower supplies\nSignal generators\nSpectrum analyzers\nBasic soldering and electronic assembly skills.\nAbility to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.\nExperience with data collection, reporting, and spreadsheet tools.\nStrong organizational and inventory management skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with semiconductor, photonics, RF, or optical component testing.\nWire bonding, die attach, wafer handling, or sample preparation experience.\nFamiliarity with laboratory automation tools and scripting (Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar).\nExperience supporting EVT, DVT, or failure analysis activities.\nBasic machining and fixture fabrication experience.\nKnowledge of calibration and measurement system analysis (Gage R&R).\nExperience with inventory management systems and BOM
