Additionally, leads the implementation of new accounting standards and drives continuous process improvements to support overarching departmental and strategic initiatives.\nMajor Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities\nLeads the administration and execution of financial system updates, enhancements, and major upgrades across core accounting and accounts payable platforms.\nActs as the primary cross-functional liaison between Accounting, Finance, and IT teams to translate operational accounting needs into technical solutions.\nDrives the end-to-end system project lifecycle for accounting applications, guiding initiatives through requirements gathering, design, testing, and deployment\nMaintains and updates comprehensive test scripts and testing frameworks to validate new features and system capabilities.\nDirects the overarching testing strategy and leads the execution of test scripts on specified system implementations to ensure defect resolution\nOversees data reconciliation activities during upgrades and implementations to verify balance sheet accuracy and data consistency..\nManages and develops supporting team members while directing project timelines, resource allocation, and cross-functional dependencies.\n\nNature and Scope\nDisplays the highest level of critical thinking and analysis in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-departmental problems. Makes prompt, sound decisions when faced with complex and often contradictory alternatives that result in successful outcomes.\nOperates with considerable latitude. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.\nMost of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.\nTypically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.\nEducation and Experience\nTypically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 8+ years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 5+ years of experience in a related field.
