Working in close partnership with Operations, Technology, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams, the Director delivers scalable, high-performance warehouse capabilities that support business growth and improve customer fulfillment..\nMajor Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities\nOwns the enterprise Warehouse Management System (WMS) strategic roadmap, leading the prioritization, modernization, and configuration of system enhancements to ensure operational efficiency, scalability, and inventory accuracy.\nDesigns future-state warehouse operational workflows-including receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping-to standardize processes across network facilities, new building startups, and expansions.\nLeads cross-functional project teams and strategic initiatives across Distribution Center leadership, Engineering, Technology, and Finance to influence enterprise-wide supply chain priorities..\nEvaluates emerging warehouse automation, robotics, and advanced software solutions to determine operational viability and align investments with overall WMS architecture.\nCoordinates vendor negotiations with vendors. Negotiates price changes with major vendors.\nBuilds comprehensive business cases, ROI models, and capability frameworks that support capital investments in supply chain technologies and warehouse optimization.\nEstablishes robust system governance, testing protocols, and change management standards for continuous WMS upgrades and seamless multi-site deployments.\nMonitors critical warehouse KPIs and operational data-such as labor utilization, inventory accuracy, pick efficiency, and throughput-delivering actionable insights and executive dashboards to senior leadership.\nNature and Scope\nProblems are typically defined by higher level leadership. Problems are difficult. Solutions require analysis and investigation.\nDecides how to achieve planned results within an organization's plans, policies, and guidelines. May set or change plans/goals within respective department or area.\nMay manage department via multiple layers of managers OR directly supervise a staff of professional individual contributors at the senior or technical advisor level.\nWork Environment\nLocated in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.\nMost of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.\nTypically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.\nEducation and Experience\nTypically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
