Provides actionable data analyses to support business cases for demand plans using data-driven methods. Serves as a mentor for other individual contributors on the team.\nMajor Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities\nDevelops and executes forecasts to support the enterprise sales and operations planning process for all high volume and complex categories across all business segments and sales verticals.\nExecutes demand planning for specific product categories, including creating repeatable processes and developing one-off and recurring demand analytics. Delivers the total demand forecasts.\nParticipates in onboarding and mentoring new associates. Performs check-ins and determines readiness and training needs.\nLeads small teams in periodic special projects that require analytics and strategy.\nMeasures, analyzes, and improves forecast accuracy with segment-specific corrective actions, process enhancements, and JDA system enhancements. Communicates results and actions taken to stakeholders. Leads a workstream that maintains forecast accuracy for one or more sales verticals.\nCreates statistical forecasts. Identifies and quantifies risks using established quantitative methods and application software.\nCollaborates with various departments to incorporate the onboarding of new products, retirement of old products, customer-specific forecast requirements, regulatory changes, and promotions into the demand planning process.\nWorks with inventory analytics to understand the relationship of the forecast to the open-to-buy plan.\nNature and Scope\nIdentifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.\nIndependently performs assignments with instruction limited to the expected results. Determines and develops an approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.\nMay oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc. Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority.\nWork Environment\nLocated in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.\nMost of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.\nTypically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.\nEducation and Experience\nTypically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 5-8 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
