This position also assists with deburring, cleaning, inspection, and hardware installation as needed.\nLoad and unload parts, materials, and fixtures into CNC machines (Haas, Mazak) according to work instructions. \nStart and monitor assigned machine cycles and promptly report equipment alarms, quality concerns, or operating issues.\nInspect and verify parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, Micro-Hite) to ensure adherence to strict quality standards.\nDeburr machined components (aluminum, copper, plastics), making sure dimensions remain within specification.\nRemove all loose burrs or sharp edges using assorted abrasive tooling.\nInstall threaded inserts, fasteners, and other hardware according to work instructions. \nWash components, making sure all parts are free of debris, coolant, dirt or any other contaminants.\nFollow established safety protocols, wear all required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area.\nConduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Check calibration status of assigned tools and equipment.\nMaintain a work record.\nPerform all other tasks as assigned. \nRequirements\nUS Citizenship or Permanent Resident status. \nAbility to read and comprehend drawings, quality documents, etc.\nStrong mechanical aptitude.\nExcellent time management with the ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred, But Not Required:\nAbility to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.\nAbility to stand or sit for long periods of time; walk and stoop, kneel or crouch.\n Why Join Us?\nWith over 40 years of experience in the defense industry, HDL Research Lab's mission is to design and build high quality custom power electronics for military and aerospace applications.
