We are all employee-owners at HDR, which is the foundation of our collaborative culture that connects employees around the world.\nIn the role of Biologist I, we'll count on you to:\nConduct biological field surveys, habitat assessments, species monitoring, and ecological data collection.\nRecord, organize, analyze, and interpret environmental and biological data using GIS and statistical software.\nAssist with wildlife studies, population monitoring, behavioral observations, and conservation-related projects.\nPrepare technical reports, maps, figures, presentations, and project documentation.\nSupport environmental compliance, natural resource management, and conservation initiatives.\nWork effectively in diverse field conditions and terrain while adhering to safety protocols.\nSupport environmental and biological projects by applying standard scientific techniques to field surveys, data collection, analysis, and technical reporting.\nWork independently on routine assignments with clearly defined objectives while assisting senior biologists on larger, multidisciplinary projects. \nCoordinate with project teams and provide direction to technical or clerical staff as needed.\nPerform other project-related duties as assigned.\nDue to client contract requirements, US citizenship is required.\nKeywords: Biologist 1, biological field surveys, habitat assessments, species monitoring, ecological data collection\nPreferred Qualifications\nInvertebrate research experience.\nProficient in ArcGIS, QGIS, RStudio, geospatial analysis, and quantitative ecological methods.\nExperience with wildlife capture and handling, mark-recapture techniques, and population density analysis.\nDemonstrated ability to communicate scientific findings through technical presentations, posters, and public outreach.\nExperience in ecological research, field data collection, geospatial analysis, and quantitative data interpretation.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Biology or closely related field \nProficiency with MS Office \nStrong oral and written communication skills \nAbility to work independently and as part of a team \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must\nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
