The successful candidate will be a part of a team that provides design support for large and small scale substation engineering projects. This is an excellent growth opportunity for a self-directed individual who wants to learn and take on new challenges.\nIn the role of Civil Engineer, we'll count on you to:\nDesign and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of projects, including site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activities\nPerform quantity calculations, stormwater calculations, develop erosion and sediment control plans\nPrepare specifications and contract documents\nPerform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures\nMake decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed\nFunction as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed, but project management is not the sole focus of this position\nSupervise a small staff of professionals and technicians as needed\nPerforms QC reviews for work performed by junior and mid-level engineers and/or designers.\nWorks with senior engineers and technical leaders to identify and develop specific technical expertise and will attend training and seminars focused on further development and understanding of complex concepts related to their discipline.\nPerform other duties as needed \nPreferred Qualifications\n5+ years of civil design experience\nPrevious experience with an engineering consulting firm\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering \nRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.\n\nPrevious experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector. \nComputer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software.
