Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineering Intern to join our Enterprise Data Operations team for Summer 2027. In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain scalable data systems and tools that drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. You’ll gain practical experience working with modern cloud data technologies such as Snowflake and developing enterprise-level data solutions in Python, while collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL.\nWork with Snowflake to ingest, transform, and manage large datasets.\nSupport the design and implementation of data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and loading (ETL/ELT) large-scale data from multiple sources.\nCollaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand data requirements and ensure data quality and integrity.\nParticipate in code reviews, documentation, and agile development practices.\nSupport automation of data workflows and contribute to performance tuning efforts.\nExplore and implement best practices in data engineering and cloud data architecture.\nWhat You’ll Gain\nReal-world experience in enterprise data engineering.\nMentorship from experienced professionals in the field.\nExposure to modern data tools and cloud technologies.\nOpportunity to contribute to impactful data initiatives.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.\nProgramming skills in Python\nUnderstanding of SQL and relational databases.\nExposure to cloud data platforms.\nStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.\nStrong communication and collaboration abilities.\nLocal candidates preferred\nRequired Qualifications\nMust be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program \nAttention to detail a must \nMust possess strong problem-solving and communication skills \nBasic Microsoft Office skills \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
