This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to drive meaningful change and help define the future of our communities.\nIn the role of Design Coordinator 2 working primarily in our Transportation Architecture group, we'll count on you to:\nEvaluate, select and apply architectural techniques, procedures and modifications to architectural construction documents\nPerform architectural assignments with general instruction and support from the Project Architect or Project Manager regarding the expected results\nMay work directly with owners/clients to select and recommend procedures\nContribute to development of specifications covering architectural matters and performance of code reviews\nAssist Project Architects, other Project Coordinators as needed, and take responsibility for work in all phases of the architectural process\nPerform other duties as needed\nThe best candidates must demonstrate solid design thinking and strong knowledge of design fundamentals as expressed by their portfolio. They must possess good oral and written communication skills, and be able to clearly present and explain a design concept to others. A strong desire to learn about and to progress through the architecture profession is valued and will be supported through mentorship, robust learning resources, and training opportunities.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Architecture\nExperience with institutional clients, in the areas of healthcare, educational, civic, transportation, science and research facilities\nExperience and/or interest in sustainable design, resilience, LEED, or other certification programs\nKnowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, the Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp/ Rhino (or similar), Bluebeam and Microsoft Office is required.\nLocal candidates preferred\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field \nMust possess credentials to obtain future registration \nExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) \nDesire to pursue growth opportunities and eventually obtain registration \nStrong leadership, communication and relationship management skills \nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills \nProficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and process \nDemonstrated graphic presentation skills \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
