In this dynamic role, you’ll forge powerful relationships with both internal teams and external clients, especially in the cutting-edge field of Telecommunications and Physical Security, while leading engineering efforts to deliver innovative solutions. You’ll drive project success by solving complex technical challenges, ensuring top-quality results, and guiding your team to exceed customer expectations.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nImagine a day when you’re at the forefront of collaboration, working with engineering teams and clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions in Telecommunications and Physical Security. You will lead technical discussions, resolve challenges, and ensure designs meet all requirements. Your guidance keeps projects on track while you research improvements, propose innovations, and provide key updates to the team - making a real impact and strengthening vital relationships every step of the way.\nIn the role of Electrical Coordinator, we'll count on you to:\nWork under the direction of senior designers to produce construction documents in REVIT, AutoCAD, and other production tools.\nPerform assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of electrical and technology engineering techniques and procedures\nWork directly with owners to develop recommendations\nReview technology documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines\nWrite/edit technology specifications, select equipment and technology devices\nTake on contract administration responsibilities requiring field inspections and conflict resolution\nCoordinate design of assigned projects with architectural staff and other engineering disciplines as needed\nPerform other duties as needed.\nPreferred Qualifications\n·Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of \"Coordinator\" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.\n·Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm\n·Familiarity with Microsoft suite of programs.\n·Familiarity with Bluebeam REVU\n·Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).\n·Ability to work in a high-velocity environment managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and workmanship quality.\n·Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks independently, and keep a daily schedule of activities.\n·Familiarity with engineering drawings.\n·Strong desire for continuous learning.\n·Selected applicant may be subject to periodic government background checks when required by client.\nStrong preference given to local candidates\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis \nDesire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain registration \nStrong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power\nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must\nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
