This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Graduate Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Consultant you will have the opportunity to assist senior engineers and the wider team in the design process in order to gain a detailed working knowledge of all parts of the industry. Where directed, carry out detailed design and calculations in accordance with industry guides. Assist and prepare specifications, reports, and drawings to the design programme. Oversee project site works snagging and testing as and when directed by your line manager or group lead. Someone who enjoys working collaboratively across disciplines being able to establish excellent working rapport within the team, business and with clients, with the ability to work under pressure, handle a varied workload and keep to tight deadlines whilst maintaining the highest level of technical excellence.\nResponsibilities\nIn the role of Graduate CFD Consultant , we'll count on you to:\nAssist Senior Engineers with detailed design tasks and drawing production.\nDevelop an understanding of the different building materials and techniques employed in design.\nCarry out detailed design calculations and develop a full understanding of computer design packages.\nMaintain a Continuing Professional Development diary to assist in obtaining appropriate qualifications.\nDevelop an understanding of appropriate Legislation Standards, Building Regulations, and Codes of Practice.\nLearn and understand design techniques and develop awareness of other design disciplines.\nMaintain a training Log on a daily basis, recording achievements and experience.\nAttend appropriate and relevant site visits and meetings as and where applicable to the role or the project.\nAttend relevant training as required by the practice to achieve Chartered status.\nAttend and arrange Lunch time CPD’s and Knowledge Sharing sessions.\nAssist in maintaining QA systems on projects.\nRequirements\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace or equivalent subject. \nGood IT knowledge and experience featuring Microsoft Packages.\nPersonable and a ‘can do’ attitude with resource management experience.\nBe clear, concise, professional and personable when communicating with clients, colleagues and suppliers.\nThe ability to project a positive and professional attitude at all times.\nSome knowledge and use of appropriate design analysis software desirable.\nAble to establish rapport and good working relationships within the project team and Clients.\nTo be able to work as part as a team and collaboratively and co-operatively.\nWhat’s in it for you!\nWe want our people to feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.
