We are all employee-owners at HDR, which is the foundation of our collaborative culture that connects employees around the world.\nIn the role of Bridge Engineer, we'll count on you to:\nApply structural engineering and detailing techniques\nWork on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable) box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects\nSelect standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized structural design and analysis software, and perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development\nReview, assign work and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs\nPerform other duties as needed \nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Structural Engineering\nA minimum of 3 years' experience in bridge design.\nFamiliarity with TxDOT bridge design manuals, guidance, bridge standards, preferred practices and software.\nExperience using Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Modeler, Projectwise, MathCAD, Bluebeam\nFamiliarity with engineering software packages such as: BGS, SPColumn, BridgeLink\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree\nPrevious experience in bridge design\nRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.\n\nFamiliarity with Bluebeam Revuand engineering software packages such as: LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, MDX, SAP2000, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, spColumn, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge.\nKnowledge of ADINA, LUSAS, Bentley OpenBridge Designer and OpenBridge Modeler and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d.\nExperience using Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA, Prestress Concrete Design \nExperience using structural analysis programs and bridge design software \nExperience managing junior staff \nExcellent communication skills and working in a team environment \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must\nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
