This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to drive meaningful changes in the waste industry and build a legacy of sustainability.\nIn the role of Environmental/Civil Engineer, we'll count on you to:\nDesign and plan production of general civil work related to environmental and solid waste industry infrastructure projects within our resources business group, including planning, site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activities\nPrepare technical reports, memorandums and other project documentsPrepare quantity calculations, cost estimates, specifications and contract documents for public entity projects\n\nPerform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures\nMake decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed\nFunction as a Lead Design Engineer or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed\nMentor a small staff of professionals and technicians as needed\nPerform other duties as needed\nPreferred Qualifications\nA minimum of 4 years' experience designing and creating plans and specifications for solid waste engineering projects, such as landfill or facility design and implementation\nProficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and GIS experience\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related Engineering field \nPrevious experience designing and creating plans and specifications for environmental engineering projects, such as remediation design and implementation \nRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
