This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.\nIn the role of Commissioning Technician, we'll count on you to:\nVerify systems are designed, installed, functionally tested and capable of being operated and maintained according to the owner’s operational needs\nAdhere to project activity budgets, budgeted man-hours and execute commissioning services\nFollow and exemplify site safety procedures\nCoordinate with the client and assist the contractors in scheduling the commissioning activities: plans, pre-functional checklists, functional performance tests, training plans, O&M, record document and shop drawing reviews and opposed season testing\nAssist commissioning leaders with various commissioning activities\nBe the main contact between the client and HDR and direct and manage all\nCommissioning activities on the project\nPerform other duties as needed\nPreferred Qualifications\nEngineering degree\nEIT, CxA Certification, or Equivalent\nA strong controls background is highly desirable\nRequired Qualifications\nA minimum of 4 years of industry experience dealing with mechanical, electrical and controls disciplines \nProven ability to lead commissioning efforts from design through project completion \nShould have a passion for sustainability and knowledge of the commissioning process and experience with design, installation and operation of building systems (including but not limited to: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and controls)\nMust be willing to travel to site-based locations as reasonably based on HDR needs\nMust have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot HVAC, TAB, and Controls and have excellent report writing skills \nMust have a solid understanding of operational requirements, safety requirements, code inspections and maintenance considerations \nStrong written, verbal communication and time management skills; exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to interact with people at all levels \nTechnical knowledge of MEP systems and HVAC expertise \nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite \nMultitasking ability \nValid driver's license \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
