Our team is looking for a candidate to meet the demands of our client base and have experience in a wide range of project types. This individual willcoordinate and work closely with clients, project managers, multidiscipline engineering teams, contractors, and other team members. They will be responsible for adding to the overall success of projects including multidisciplinary coordination reviews, shop drawing/submittal/RFI reviews, and site observations. Passion, self-motivation, and strong leadership skills are a must to deliver technically excellent projects for our clients. Additional responsibilities include:\nIn the role of Construction Contract Administrator II, we'll count on you to:\nMentoring/Managing: Help to create a collaborative environment that promotes the production of high-quality construction documents, a smooth turnover of a successfully completed project to the owner.\nMentor, organize, and facilitate the growth of junior construction contract administrator staff.\nAssist in the development of fully coordinated multidisciplinary designs.\n\nTechnical:Build working relationships with the owner and design/contracting team to allow for open communication regarding issues that come up during design and construction. Work with the design and construction team to determine the best solutions for the project. \nPerform constructability reviews at each design phase for projects internal to HDR.\nPerform peer reviews for constructability and coordination for external clients.\nAssist the design team with constructability questions as needed.\nParticipate in internal/external page turns and drawing reviews of the projects during design and construction.\nRun construction meetings with the design team, contractors, and owners as required.\nBid Review/Leveling from the contractors as requested by the owner.\nClose coordination with the design team, owner, general contractor, and the subcontractors during project construction.\nPerform site visits as required to validate general quality of work and construction progress.\nWork with the team to perform/document lessons learned during and after the completion of the project.\nDesign support during construction including field observations, submittal and shop drawing review, and Request for Information (RFI) review.\nSchedule tracking during construction\nPerform other duties as needed.\nTravel: Some travel to job sites or other HDR offices could be required. This would be communicated in advance to give adequate coordination time with project work and personal life. \n\nProfessional DevelopmentActive participation in industry organizations is encouraged. Participation in professional development seminars, courses, workshops, or conferences is encouraged and should be approved in advance of attendance.\nAdditional industry certifications are also encouraged such as Uptime ATD.\nMaintain continuing education requirements for any certification or license.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nPE license or the ability and determination to obtain a PE License.\nPrevious TMT/Mission Critical experience is strongly desired.\nStrong desire to stay current with the trends of the fast-paced industry of TMT/mission critical.\nWorking knowledge of the following standards: Uptime Topology standards, ASHRAE TC 9.9, ASHRAE 90.4, and the ISO standards regarding PUE, CUE, and WUE.\nWorking knowledge of Bluebeam Revu.\nWorking knowledge of Newforma Project Center and/or ProjectWise Document Management Software\n\nRequired Qualifications\n7 years contract-related experience; advanced degree or contract certification program may substitute for years of experience \nWorking to expert knowledge of contracting concepts and company and client requirements \nProfessional, self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented with the flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment \nAbility to work independently and meet deadlines, with minimal management oversight \nProficient with Microsoft Office software, including complex MS Excel spreadsheets with formulas \nExcellent writing and people skills \nStrong math, analytical and organizational skills \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nSponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position\nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
