Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.\nThe HDR Arlington office is looking for a Construction Project Architect to be the onsite technical expert in Bethesda, MD and will interact with the project management oversight team as the onsite representative. The Construction Project Architect will assist to resolve problems from minor to major scope and complexity. You will also assist in Quality Assurance and Control reviews of scheduled milestone packages with a particular emphasis towards constructability, coordination and value engineering. In addition, we'll count on you to:\nRepresent a multidiscipline architectural engineering team during construction projects \nNegotiate, interpret documents and be a team player \nConduct meetings with clients, contractors and our project representatives \nConduct project observations to determine the progress of the work and general compliance with contract documents \nCoordinate and assist with providing clarification and enforcement of construction documents, including processing of contractor requests for information \nObtain, process, document and maintain records relevant to a project, including but not limited to claims, changeproposals and change orders, request for information, correspondence, payment application, contract documents, and other related documentation \n\nDemonstrate knowledge while performing QA/QC reviews \nPerform other duties as needed\nPreferred Qualifications\nA minimum of 15 years' experience with field representation positions during construction strongly preferred\nHealthcare experience strongly preferred\nStrong team and leadership skills and communication and relationship management skills\nStrong knowledge of all local and state codes of Maryland, IBC, UFC, FGI, and other applicable federal and industry standard guidelines\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills\nExperience in Healthcare related projects and experience on Federal/DOD projects\nPreference given to local candidates\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field \nA minimum of 5 years experience \nRegistered Architect \nExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule) \nExcellent written and communication skills \nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills \nProficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and process \nDemonstrated graphic presentation skills \nMust have experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specifications \nStrong knowledge of codes and good planning skills \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
