We are all employee-owners at HDR, which is the foundation of our collaborative culture that connects employees around the world.\nHDR is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to join our Transportation Construction Services group to work on the Ontario Line Project. Reporting to the Project Manager you will be helping to successfully deliver to completion of two segmental bridges for the Don Valley Crossing project as part of Ontario Line. HDR is the Technical Advisor for the Ontario Line Program responsible to help deliver one of the largest ever urban transit light-rail infrastructure projects in Toronto. The position will be responsible for coordinating an onsite team of technical professionals and inspectors to oversee the implementation of construction observations and maintaining daily logs and project communication.\nResponsibilities:\nTake responsibility for a wide variety of specialized project-related administrative and accounting functions\nWork independently to effectively manage complex project- and executive-level paper and electronic files, documents and records\nCompose and develop correspondence and reports\nCoordinate and monitor onsite inspection duties and tasks to ensure they are completed and that the inspector’s diaries are kept accurate and up to date.\nAttend site walks and construction activities as required to support field observations, verify the status of outstanding items, and assist with photographic and written documentation.\nPromote and oversee implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.\nReview contractor activities are in accordance with the contract documents and requirements.\nLiaise with the contractor and client representatives.\nOrganize and coordinate project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and assist with presentations\nHelp maintain an organized and traceable record of communications, field observations, design responses, contractor submissions, and decisions relevant to the work\nTrack field observations, deficiencies, potential non-conformances, RFIs, NCRs, design clarifications, and other construction-related action items through resolution or formal closeout.\nAssist with preparing materials for progress meetings, quality meetings, technical coordination meetings, and issue-specific discussions.\nSupport the Project Manager and Construction Manager with workload planning, resource coordination, schedule monitoring, and administrative activities.\nPrepare, maintain, and regularly update the project conformed drawing set, incorporating approved revisions, design changes, RFIs, field changes, and issued documents to ensure the field team is working from the latest available information.\nApply company quality assurance guidelines and procedures, and independently monitor for quality assurance\nManage project documents and files\nWork with complex contracts and sub-agreements\nTrack and monitor project budgets, workloads and schedules as necessary\nExercise good judgement and discretion, and independently resolve problems and issues relating to administrative project functions\nAt times may require working nights, weekends, and extended shifts.\nOther duties as assigned.\nPreferred Qualifications\nRegistration with PEO or OACETT as a C.E.T, and or ability to get registered\n5+ years of experience with construction project coordination of large civil and transit infrastructure projects\nAbility to organize, prioritize and schedule work.\nAbility to analyze and solve problems.\nValid Ontario driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle\nRequired Qualifications\nRequires high school diploma or equivalent.
