This isn’t just a job; it’s a chance to drive meaningful changes in the waste industry and build a legacy of sustainability.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nThe successful candidate will provide environmental complaince support for Alaska solid waste projects but could also be assigned to projects in other market sectors in and outside of Alaska. Specific responsibilities will include:\nConduct field work: groundwater sampling,surface water sampling, and landfill gas monitoring and sampling.\n\nSupport solid waste permit applications, including writing and reviewing technical work products (environmentat documents and technical studies).\n\nWork with project managers, clients, and subject matter experts for permitting needs.\n\nCandidates must demonstrate a commitment to exemplary quality standards for professional practice and deliverables. Candidates must have field work experience and be able to work safely and efficiently in remote outdoor settings in Alaska under a variety of weather conditions. Candidates must be able to work cooperatively with professionals from other disciplines, clients, project managers, business development professionals, and operational leadership. This is a full-time position based in Anchorage, Alaska.\nPreferred Qualifications\n2 to 5 years environmental permitting and/or compliance experience in Alaska\nExperience with field sampling, monitoring, solid waste/landfill, and air quality\nPreference given to local candidates\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or closely related field \nKnowledge of wetland delineation, field investigation techniques, and agency coordination requirements \nExcellent writing and communication skills \nMS Office experience \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
