Our employee-owners collaborate across specialties, combining creativity, precision, and deep expertise to solve the most complex challenges facing our clients and communities.\nIn the role of GIS intern, we'll count on you to:\nGain real-world experience on projects by developing and implementing geospatial and data visualization solutions.\n\nAssist with spatial analysis, map production, data editing, and GIS database management using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.\n\nSupport field data collection and QA/QC of GIS datasets.\n\nCollaborate with GIS staff and project teams on a variety of assignments under direct supervision.\n\nParticipate in mentoring and young professionals' programs.\n\nPerform other duties as needed.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPursuing a degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Science, Planning, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\n\nDemonstrated knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.\n\nExperience with ArcGIS Online web maps, dashboards, Field Maps, Survey123, or Python scripting is a plus.\n\nStrong attention to detail and communication skills.\n\nLocal Applicants Preferred\nRequired Qualifications\nCurrently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program \nAttention to detail\nPossess strong problem-solving and communication skills \nBasic Microsoft Office skills \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
