This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Public Health Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of public health systems across a variety of sectors including Data Centres, commercial, healthcare, education, mixed-use, and complex infrastructure projects.\nWorking alongside multidisciplinary design teams, you will develop efficient, compliant, and future-focused solutions from concept through to detailed design and construction support.\nAbout You\nWe are looking for someone who is personable self-starter with the ability to project a positive ‘can do’ professional attitude at all times maintaining good working relationships. Someone who enjoys working collaboratively across disciplines being able to establish excellent working rapport within the team, business and with clients, with the ability to work under pressure, handle a varied workload and keep to tight deadlines whilst maintaining the highest level of technical excellence.\nResponsibilities\nDesigning public health systems.\nProducing calculations, specifications, reports and technical drawings.\nCoordinating designs with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical and structural engineers.\nLiaise with the design team to produce co-ordinated designs that are technically compliant, to a consistent quality and standard. Provide positive contribution to design/project meetings. Maintain regular ‘in house’ design reviews and checks.\nSupporting project delivery from feasibility through detailed design and construction stages.\nEngaging with clients, contractors and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.\nContributing to innovative and sustainable engineering approaches aligned with industry best practice.\nRequired Qualifications\nEducational qualifications to a degree level or equivalent are desired.\nExcellent presentation and communication skills.\nMinimum 3 years’ industry experience working for a design consultancy\nOrganise and direct the production of CAD/Revit drawings and correspond effectively with opposite numbers with other consultants.\nCompetency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.\nExperience using Bluebeam, Revit and AutoCAD\nThe ability to project a positive and professional attitude at all times.\nFamiliarity with design software relevant to public health engineering projects.\nAble to establish rapport and good working relationships within the project team and Clients. \nSupporting graduate team members and sharing technical knowledge where appropriate.\n\nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
