Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.\nHDR is seeking a Senior CEI Project Engineer for our Transportation Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) program in Central Florida (Orlando) to direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programs, plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members, develop and/or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures, and review programs for conformance with department standards.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nResponsibility for the overall management and successful delivery of multi-million dollar projects\nActing as the primary liaison with contractor(s) on behalf of the client/owner, as part of a CEI team representing the owner\nLeading a project team consisting of project controllers and inspectors responsible for contract administration and construction materials testing\nManaging day-to-day activities such as progress meetings, submittal and RFI reviews, contractor pay applications, quality assurance testing and inspection, schedule reviews, and progress reporting\nCoordinating with designers to resolve technical/engineering issues\nPerform other duties as needed\nPreferred Qualifications\nFDOT Advanced MOT\nQuality Control experience\nHighway and Bridge experience\n\nMS in Civil Engineering or related discipline (may be substituted for one year of engineering experience)\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field \n10 years related experience in various aspects of construction including estimating, bidding, preparing purchase orders and subcontracts, scheduling, and field engineering \nProfessional Engineer (PE) license \nExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Bluebeam, estimating & scheduling software, and web-based document collaboration software \nExperience developing and managing construction engineering and inspection programs \nMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
