We collaborate across disciplines, leverage global expertise, and empower our people to create solutions that make a lasting impact.\nThe Role\nWe're seeking a Structural BIM Technician / Modeller to join our National Building Structures Team and work on a diverse portfolio of projects, with a focus on major data centre and mission critical projects.\nBased in Melbourne, this is an opportunity for a BIM professional who enjoys developing high-quality structural models, producing detailed construction documentation and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex and technically challenging building projects.\nIf you're passionate about digital delivery, BIM innovation and technical excellence, we'd love to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nAs a key member of our Structural team, you will:\nDevelop and maintain structural Revit models and construction documentation for a variety of building projects.\nProduce accurate drawings and BIM deliverables in accordance with project requirements and HDR standards.\nCoordinate structural models with architectural, building services and multidisciplinary project teams.\nParticipate in clash detection, model reviews and coordination workshops to support efficient project delivery.\nManage BIM deliverables, including model organisation, views, sheets, grids and levels.\nSupport digital delivery initiatives and contribute to the ongoing development of BIM workflows, templates and standards.\nContribute to quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives.\nWork closely with engineers, BIM specialists and project teams to deliver coordinated and high-quality project outcomes.\nWhat Makes This Role Different?\nThis is more than a traditional drafting or documentation role.\nYou'll have the opportunity to work on some of Australia's most significant data centre and mission critical projects, developing complex structural models and contributing to the successful delivery of technically demanding developments.\nYou'll be supported by HDR's multidisciplinary design teams and global technical network while continuing to develop your BIM, coordination and digital engineering capabilities within a collaborative and highly experienced environment.\nWhat You'll Bring\nWe're looking for someone who is:\nPassionate about BIM, digital delivery and technical excellence. \nHighly organised, detail-oriented and committed to quality. \nA collaborative team player who enjoys working across disciplines.\nProactive in identifying and resolving coordination challenges. \nA strong communicator who can build effective relationships with colleagues and project stakeholders. \nCurious and motivated to continuously develop their technical and digital delivery skills.\nIdeally, You'll Have\n4-8 years' experience as a Structural BIM Technician, Structural BIM Modeller or in a similar role. \nStrong proficiency in Autodesk Revit for structural modelling and documentation. \nExperience producing high-quality construction documentation for building projects. \nA solid understanding of structural engineering principles and detailing requirements. \nExperience working within multidisciplinary design and delivery teams. \nStrong communication, coordination and organisational skills. \nExperience using Navisworks or similar coordination software. \nExposure to Autodesk Forma, Common Data Environments or other digital delivery platforms. \nExperience working on commercial, industrial, health, education, mission critical or data centre projects. \nKnowledge of Dynamo, Rhino or other digital engineering tools would be advantageous.\nWhy Join HDR?\nEmployee ownership model - share in the success you help create.\nMajor project exposure - work on complex data centre and mission critical projects.\nCareer development - mentoring and support from experienced technical and project leaders.\nCollaborative culture - work within a multidisciplinary team that values quality, innovation and technical excellence.\nGlobal expertise - leverage HDR's global network of engineering and digital delivery professionals. #LI-CG3\nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
