This is an exciting opportunity for a senior professional with a strong background in power delivery who is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\nAs Substation Section Manager, you’ll be responsible for the operational and technical leadership of a high-performing production team. You’ll oversee project delivery, staffing, quality, utilization, forecasting, and strategic growth-ensuring alignment with HDR’s operating goals and values.\nYou’ll collaborate closely with local, regional, and national leadership to drive excellence in project execution, client service, and team development. This role is pivotal to the success of HDR’s substation business class and offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of power delivery in the region.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead and manage section operations including staffing, workload forecasting, quality assurance, and safety.\n\nSupport project managers through proactive project reviews and mentorship.\n\nDrive recruiting efforts and talent development to grow the section.\n\nFoster a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\n\nPartner with marketing and client development teams to pursue new business opportunities.\n\nPromote work-sharing and resource optimization across teams and geographies.\n\nAdminister performance reviews and support career growth for direct reports.\n\nChampion a positive and inclusive work environment.\n\nProvide technical leadership, client management, and project oversight as needed.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nProven experience in power delivery and substation projects.\nStrong leadership and team-building skills.\nExcellent communication and organizational abilities.\nStrategic mindset with a passion for operational excellence.\nCommitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree or equivalent experience\nA minimum of 10 years experience \nProfessional registration, license or certification may be required based on role \nStrong communication and listening skills \nAbility to handle multiple assignments \nGood leadership and organizational skills \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
