This isn’t just a job, it's a chance to lead change, drive progress, and leave a lasting legacy.\nIn the role of Water Resources Design EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to:\nWork under project engineers on the application of various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state and local municipalities\nFocus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations\nFocus on projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, dike systems, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues and non-point source loading and point source design.\nProduce design calculations, draft technical reports and perform water resources studies\nOne- and two-dimensional hydraulic analysis and model development.\n\nPrepare engineering design calculations.\n\nEnvironmental permitting support.\n\nField and desktop data collection.\n\nTechnical report development.\n\nDevelopment of visual aids for client and stakeholder presentations.\n\nPerform other duties as needed\nPreferred Qualifications:\nEngineer in Training (EIT) certificate\nCandidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression\nBasic knowledge of industry standard software, including: Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS.\nStrong writing and verbal communication skills. \nAbility to work on multiple assignments successfully. \nMaster’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related field. \nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field\nExperienced with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software\nSelf-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must\nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
