Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.\nThe Junior Indirect Procurement Coordinator provides day-to-day support for the organization’s purchasing activities by assisting with requisitions, purchase orders, vendor information, and procurement documentation. Working closely with Procurement, Finance, Accounting, and internal business partners, this position helps ensure purchasing transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established policies and procedures.\nAs part of a client service organization, this role provides responsive support to internal stakeholders while developing knowledge of procurement processes, financial requirements, and enterprise systems. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, organization, communication skills, initiative, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.\nIn the Role of Junior Indirect Procurement Coordinator, We’ll Count on You To:\nProcess and review routine requisitions and assist with the creation and maintenance of purchase orders.\nVerify that purchasing requests contain appropriate information, approvals, coding, and supporting documentation before processing.\nProvide day-to-day assistance to internal stakeholders regarding purchasing processes, documentation requirements, and transaction status.\nMaintain accurate procurement records, vendor information, and supporting documentation within ERP and financial systems.\nAssist with resolving routine purchase order, invoice, coding, and documentation discrepancies in partnership with Procurement, Finance, and Accounting.\nSupport workload priorities and manage multiple requests and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.\nAssist with charitable contribution requests, documentation, tracking, and reporting as needed.\nDevelop working knowledge of capital asset classifications, capitalization requirements, depreciation concepts, and related financial controls.\nSupport procurement reporting, data maintenance, and other administrative activities as needed.\nIdentify routine process issues and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency and the internal customer experience.\nLearn and apply company procurement policies, procedures, systems, and business requirements.\nEscalate complex, unusual, or higher-risk purchasing matters to appropriate Procurement or Finance team members.\nPerform other duties as needed.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred. Relevant education or experience may be considered.\nPrevious experience in procurement, purchasing, accounts payable, finance, administrative support, or a related business function preferred.\nExposure to ERP or business systems such as Oracle, SAP, Workday, Deltek, or similar platforms is beneficial.\nBasic understanding of purchasing, accounts payable, or financial processes.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.\nStrong organizational and problem-solving skills.\nDemonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset.\nWillingness and ability to learn new systems, processes, and procurement concepts.\nRequired Qualifications\nRelevant administrative, purchasing, procurement, finance, accounting, or business experience, or equivalent education/training.\nExperience working with business transactions, documentation, data entry, or similar detail-oriented processes.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to follow established procedures and appropriately escalate questions or exceptions.\nAbility to work independently on routine assignments while collaborating effectively with others.\nCommitment to being an active participant in the employee-owned culture.\nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
