Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.\nIn the role of Mechanical Engineer, we'll count on you to:\nCoordinate the work of the mechanical design team through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a project\nEstablish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance\nCoordinate workload to complete the document on schedule\nConduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines\nReview mechanical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines\nWrite and edit mechanical specifications, selects equipment, mechanical systems and devices\nCoordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents\nProvide construction contract administration as needed\nConduct QA/QC on the work of other Mechanical Project Engineers, Mechanical Project Coordinators or Mechanical CAD Technicians as needed\nPerform other duties as needed\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasis\n\nA minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings\n\nHealthcare, Science and Technology and/or Civic facilities experience\n\nExperience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering \nPrevious experience in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings \nRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.\n\nExperience in commercial or institutional facilities \nComputer experience using MS Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, manufacturer selection software \nPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm\nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
