Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.\nIn the role of Project Accountant 2, we'll count on you to:\nWork autonomously on client invoicing, collections management and project budgeting, as well as backup assistance on coding and processing A/P, time sheets, and expense reports\nAccurately contract documentation, administration and maintenance, including fee and budget entry\nWork with section and project personnel to provide timely contract performance data and resolve financial issues\nRead and understand client and internal contracts\nCoordinate the project accounting system within the department and work with technical staff to ensure compliance with contractual requirements\nAssist multiple project managers and staff on a daily basis\nMentor junior project accountants as needed\nComplete tasks autonomously \nPerform other duties as needed\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Accounting\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience \nA minimum of 5 years of experience; an advanced degree may offset years of experience \nFamiliar with Earned Value Management \nExcellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills \nFlexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast-paced environment \nSelf-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented \nAbility to handle confidential information \nProficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
