This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.\nIn the role of Senior Mechanical Engineer, we'll count on you to:\nCoordinate the work of Mechanical Engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development\nEstablish client relations, and participate in the marketing, design and production meetings with regard to mechanical systems\nAssume the mechanical lead on many projects\nParticipate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance\nConduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect and other disciplines\nCoordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule\nTrack the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust the work efforts with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon schedule\nWork with the Project Manager, Regional Controller and Regional Director for project reviews with corporate management as needed\nPerform other duties as needed\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in architectural engineering with Mechanical emphasis\nHealthcare, Science and Technology and/or Civic facilities experience\nLocal candidates preferred\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering \nA minimum of 10 years in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings \nProfessional Engineer (PE) license \nStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project and AutoCAD \nDemonstrated leadership skills, previous team coordination and project management experience \nPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
