This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.\nIn the role of Senior Project Manager, we'll count on you to:\nPlan, direct and manage all aspects of the work of multi-disciplinary teams on small, medium and large data centre and mission critical facility projects through the schematic, design development, permitting, and construction contract support phase of each project; projects may also be healthcare, laboratory, and/or higher education projects\nEstablish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings\nDevelop, seek approval for and implement project work plans defining the scope, resources, schedule, and budget necessary to meet the needs of each project\nEngage resources and maintain the necessary project team composition throughout the project \nDirect and coordinate work of all professional staff and sub-consultants\nCommunicate effectively, meaningfully and frequently with project stakeholders\nInterface closely with local municipalities and authorities having jurisdiction to ensure designs conform to with standards/codes and gain necessary approvals\nPrepare and conduct multi-stakeholder work sessions/presentations, charrettes, consultations, design reviews etc. as needed\nContribute to preparation and review of reports, design drawings and technical specificationsr\nImplement QA/QC procedures for all work product\nCoordinate workload through entire project development and ensure completion of tasks on schedule\nTrack financial aspects of projects, coordinate and adjust work efforts of the team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of approved budgets\nWork with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed\nManage several work assignments/projects concurrently\nTravel to and attend various external site locations and offices to participate in inspections, meetings, etc.\nComply with all relevant legislation and corporate policies/procedures\nPerform other duties as needed\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm providing services to client markets with complex and involved project approvals and implementation processes\nGood interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal English communications skills\nStrong computer skills and experience using the Microsoft Office suite\nLEED AP or experience in sustainable design\nPMP certification would be an asset\nAdditional assets include: functional familiarity with Bluebeam, MS Project\nFurther, the position requires:\nCompliance with HDR and, as applicable, contractor safety policies and procedures\nPotential attendance at job sites to support design and construction activities\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and related professional experience\n10 years related experience \nA minimum of 5 years of project management experience \nFamiliar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software\nMust have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must\nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
