Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.\nEnvironmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) operates within HDR’s Federal Business Group, capable of delivering services across all HDR business groups at any location. Our work is performed by our professional staff, scientists and engineers at remote sites, embedded in client office space or our own facilities. EOC delivers quality engineering, environmental, and construction management services at competitive prices.\nIn the role of Senior Space Planner, we'll count on you to:\nPrepare, process, and manage all space planning activities and report to Portfolio Optimization Manager, Civil Engineer Squadron leadership and the Facility Utilization Board (FUB) on the status of all space utilization reports, space planning actions, organization water fall charts, etc.\nAssist with overall strategy in planning, prioritizing, and programming for future real property requirements to meet the USAFA mission.\nCollaborate with the community planners for completion of multiple Base planning functions (Space Utilization, Installation Development plans, Area Development Plans, etc.)\nPrepare and present briefings for facility space utilization, SRM, MILCON, community planning, and programming functions\nBe the subject matter expert on USAFA space planning regulations such as AFH 32-1084, air force space planning playbooks, local USAFA standards, etc. \nMaintain a current copy of the General Plan and associated area development plans in an electronic format and provide briefings to senior leadership and other interested parties\nLead and support embedded staff at military installations\nPerform other duties as needed\nPreferred Qualifications\nA minimum of 5 years' experience in planning and design\nMaster's degree in Urban Planning or related field\nAICP Certification\nCompletion of AFIT training courses: *WMGT 519, *WMGT 520 \nPrior Air Force Civil Engineering Squadron experience \nProficiency with Microsoft Office programs\nLeadership skills and ability to work in a team environment\nAbility to work in person and on site at United States Air Force Academy\nMay require the ability to travel\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in related fields (preferably engineering, architecture, or construction)\nA minimum of 10 years experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry\nA minimum of 5 years project management experience (senior)\nAbility to interact and work alongside daily with various stakeholders\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to submit and pass a background check\nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must\nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
