We are all employee-owners at HDR, which is the foundation of our collaborative culture that connects employees around the world.\nIn the role of Senior Structural Engineer, we'll count on you to:\nServe in a lead technical role on bridge and/or transit structure design projects\nPerform complex structural planning, analysis, and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects\nWork on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable, box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects) and or transit (elevated and/or underground stations and line structures) projects\nServe as a technical specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects, and supervise more junior engineers in the performance of engineering tasks\nInterface with clients\nPerform other duties as needed\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Structural Engineering\nKnowledge of Autodesk Revit, Inventor\nMicrosoft Office, Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, and Microstation\nDemonstrated leadership skills, communication skills, and ability to work with various teams\nExperience in design calculations and layouts\nFamiliarity with engineering software packages such as: LEAP Bridge Enterprise, Bentley OpenBridge Designer and OpenBridge Modeler, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, SAP2000, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, spColumn, LUSAS, ETABS, RISA, Larsa\nAbility to design and detail in various material types\nRequires understanding of gravity analysis and lateral analysis\nKnowledge of Standard Industry Codes for Design (Building and/or Bridge) is required\nPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm\nPreference given to candidates currently residing in the NY Metropolitan Area\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering \nA minimum of 10 years structural engineering experience as it relates to building design \nRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
