Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.\nHDR is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Raleigh or Charlotte. This individual will be responsible for the structural design of facilities in support of a variety of markets including Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, Power, Federal, Healthcare, and Education and Science. Previous experience in all of these markets is not a requirement. They will be expected to coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration. They will be responsible for the development of construction drawings, specifications, and supporting engineering calculations, as well as the review of shop drawings during construction. Experience in structural design and detailing of building related projects is required. This individual should be self-motivated, collaborative and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound structural engineering designs. The ideal candidate will have experience with the design of environmental engineering structures including reinforced concrete tanks and associated structures using the ACI 350 design code.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMS or MSCE Degree in Structural Engineering preferred\nExperience leading teams delivering structural design projects\nStrong knowledge of structural modeling software such as STAAD or other 3D analysis and finite element modeling software\nExperience with environmental engineering projects (water/wastewater) desired\nExperience with condition assessment and concrete repair desired\nLocal candidates are preferred\n*LI-SM1\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering \nA minimum of 10 years structural engineering experience as it relates to building design \nRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.\n\nMicrosoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar analytical software \nExperience in design calculations and layouts \nAbility to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry and wood \nRequires understanding of gravity analysis and lateral analysis \nPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
