This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.\nIn the role of Civil Intern, we'll count on you to:\nCoordinate with internal and external resources to complete all due diligence research and documentation.\nDevelop concept site layouts that are compliant with all Jurisdictional requirements and support the Pre-Application process.\nCoordinate with the Authority Having Jurisdiction to determine design and submittal requirements and coordinate design solutions.\nAssist with community outreach as defined within the scope of a project.\nAttend client meetings.\nTransition the concept plans through the schematic and construction design processes.\nCoordinate with subconsultants for support and design services.\nDesign and produce plan sets, details, specifications, and cost estimates.\nPerform calculations in support of the site development (stormwater pond sizing, culvert and pipe capacity analysis, hydrology calcs, etc.)\nAuthor reports that are technically sound, grammatically correct, and well organized.\nCollaborate with team engineers to determine the best course of action.\nBe independent in your pursuit for information and solutions.\nManage your time and organization of multiple tasks/projects.\nCommunicate effectively with managers and team members.\nPursue efficiencies within your work and operations.\nBe an advocate for HDR, the BES Business Group, and the Site Civil team.\nPerform other tasks that support the mission and vision of HDR and the BES Business Group.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPreference given to local candidates\nPrevious experience with CAD or Civil 3D is preferred\nRequired Qualifications\nCurrently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program \nAttention to detail\nPossess strong problem-solving and communication skills \nBasic Microsoft Office skills \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
