As a full-service communications, engagement, and creative practice, we develop and implement ideas to bring people together in projects of every size and sector. We help people get to know each other, foster understanding, and build more connected, equitable, and sustainable communities.\nAs a Strategic Communications Coordinator, you will support the development, execution, and management of communication and engagement activities on a variety of infrastructure projects. You will work collaboratively as part of a broader Strategic Communications team and take direction from Communications Managers, Project Managers, and clients.\nIn the role of Strategic Communications Coordinator, we'll count on you to:\nAssist in the development of content and communications plans that inspire audiences and drive engagement across various communication channels to elevate thought leadership, people and project work \nAssist in driving global and local communications strategies by collaborating with internal business partners, creative, marketing and communications teams?\nWork with engineers, architects, designers and other subject matter experts to develop and write white papers, feature article content, thought leadership articles, and social media posts\nGhost write and edit blogs, social media posts, papers and/or presentations by subject matter experts\nHelp develop collateral pieces and other marketing campaign materials \nResearch, write and edit project narratives and case studies\nCoordinate event management activities Deliver employee training to activate and guide communications throughout the company\nMonitor industry best practices and maintain a repository of trends and examples\nManage communications database information and web-based project management tools (Adobe, SharePoint, Staging Sites, Contact Logs, etc)\nCoordinate multi-discipline teams in the development and production of deliverables.\nWrite copy for communication pieces including talking points, media releases, social media, project materials, and video scripts\n\nCoordinate formal and informal public meetings, listening sessions, townhalls, hearings, open houses, workshops, advisory committees, or other stakeholder meetings\n\nOrganize meeting logistics and vendor management\n\nDevelop and implement task workback schedules and meeting plans\n\nCoordinate the production and distribution of outreach materials such as newsletters, websites, handouts, presentations, advertisements, door hangers, press releases, and mailings\n\nCollaborate with specialists in social media, web, graphics, and video to produce outreach tools and materials\n\nIdentify stakeholders and manage the development of distribution lists\n\nDevelop and maintain project-specific comment management databases and coordinate responses to comment according to protocols\n\nResearch industry trends, stakeholders, and policy\n\nDocument outreach activities, including activity tracking and reporting\n\nPerform other duties as needed\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree\nPrevious consulting and/or creative agency experience\nRequired Qualifications\nA minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience \nStrong written and verbal communication skills \nStrong organizational skills \nService- and client-oriented personality with the ability to handle multiple assignments at a time and meet set deadlines \nSelf-starter who can work well independently or in a team environment \nExperience using social networking/social media programs \nAttention to detail \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
