With a team of experienced staff in specific market areas such as Healthcare, Datacenters, Science and Technology, Commercial Real Estate, Finance, Hospitality, Industrial, Municipal, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Federal facilities; we provide engineering excellence for our clients.\nWe are searching for Structural BIM-Digital Design Team Lead at either our Folsom or Walnut Creek office.\nIn the role of Structural BIM-Digital Design Team Lead, we'll count on you to:\nFunction as a structural digital design - building information modelling (BIM) lead for key projects\n\nExecute all structural digital delivery (BIM) requirements identified on a project\n\nBe responsible for the structural discipline model and will generate the BIM elements, based on the Level of Development (LOD) outlined in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scope\n\nCreate and maintain the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output for structural.\n\nTo be skilled with the software used to produce the designs identified in the Digital Delivery requirements\n\nHave mastered structural BIM modelling and how it interacts with other discipline designs.\n\nHave an advanced understanding of structural documentation and plan presentation for all disciplines\n\nMentor and develop the Structural Digital Design staff.\n\nAccurately model BIM elements in the correct special constraints of the modeling environment, using the current 3D software\n\nPrepare detailed drawings, layouts, & diagrams of the design within the project scope, schedule, and budget, using the current 3D software\n\nMaintain the structural model including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, and sheets\n\nProduce discipline specific documentation with accurate annotations on all structural modeling output.\n\nPerform structural modelling with limited guidance from structural engineer.\n\nAssist the Structural Business Class Lead with management and culture of the overall business class by being the direct supervisor of a team of digital designers with varying degree of experience\n\nWork as a collaborative team with fellow Team Leads and the Structural Business Class Lead for work staffing and project proposals\n\nProvide team leadership with a focus on technical excellence, quality, recruiting, mentoring, and staff development\n\nCollaborate closely with structural market sector leadership to ensure technical excellence in all key markets including commercial, civic, industrial, federal, water, transportation, healthcare, education and laboratories and mission critical facilities\n\nImplement, monitor, and support company policy\n\nWorks collaboratively with other team leads, business class lead, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts\n\nActively encourage and participate in work-sharing and structural practice development with a nation-wide network of HDR Structural Business Class\n\nAssist the Structural Business Class Lead in the recruitment and growth of the business class\n\nPerform other duties as needed\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperienced in development and management of diverse teams\n\nIn-person office culture\n\nPreference given to local candidates\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree or equivalent experience\nA minimum of 7 years experience \nProfessional registration, license or certification may be required based on role \nStrong communication and listening skills \nAbility to handle multiple assignments \nGood leadership and organizational skills \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
