In the role of Power Engineer, we'll count on you to:
- Design and review Protection & Control systems and engineering deliverables for utility, industrial, and commercial power projects.
- Identify and resolve technical, constructability, and schedule challenges throughout project execution.
- Apply client requirements, utility standards, and engineering best practices to deliver safe and reliable designs.
- Collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to develop integrated, constructible solutions.
- Serve as a primary technical contact for clients and project stakeholders.
- Develop BOMs, cable schedules, wire lists, and related documentation to support project delivery.
- Lead project execution by managing priorities, resources, risks, and deliverables.
- Perform site assessments and field investigations to support engineering design.
- Conduct quality reviews to ensure accuracy, compliance, and high-quality deliverables.
- Support construction, testing, and commissioning activities through technical problem-solving and design support.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, tools, and processes.
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and collaboration across diverse project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Engineering
- A minimum of 3 years experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
- Previous experience with an engineering consulting firm
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
- Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software. (examples include PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit)
