Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.\nHDR Engineering is looking for a System Protection and Studies (SPS) Project Engineer to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals.\nThe primary duties of the SPS Engineer position are to perform engineering tasks with varying levels of complexity, which are assigned by a Lead Project Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Project Manager.\nIn the role of System Protection and Studies, we'll count on you to:\nPerform protective relay calculations and determine appropriate relay set points.\n\nPerform protective relay coordination studies utilizing short-circuit modeling software.\n\nDevelop relay setting files utilizing relay vendor software.\n\nProduce relay coordination compliance reports for applicable NERC-PRC standards.\n\nDevelop SCADA point list.\n\nProduce communication settings for protective relays.\n\nProduce required client protective relay reports.\n\nProvide protective relay construction support.\n\nProvide P&C support with scheme development and design reviews.\n\nWork under the direct supervision of a Senior Engineer, APM, or PM.\n\nWork independently on tasks and may assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects.\n\nSome travel may be required.\n\nWork with assistance from Project Engineers, other Electrical EITs or Technicians as needed\n\nCoordinate with other substation design disciplines (i.e., P&C design teams)\n\nPerform other duties as needed\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering \nRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.\n\nPrevious experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector. \nComputer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software.
